Do you want to take Academic or General Training IELTS?
There are two types of IELTS exam: Academic IELTS and General Training IELTS.
Our courses are only suitable for people wishing to take Academic IELTS.
The academic module of IELTS is mainly aimed at students who wish to study in a university that operates its courses in English. However, some people who emigrate or wish to work in an English speaking environment may be required to do the academic module.
The general training module of IELTS is aimed mainly at people who wish to emigrate to an English speaking country, but who probably won’t work in a technical job.
Our courses only focus on Academic IELTS. If you want to take General Training IELTS you can still follow our course. The only part of General Training IELTS that our course doesn’t cover is General Training Writing Task 1. We can set extra homework in order to prepare you for this.
Our courses are ongoing and students can start any week.
Each lesson focuses on a different part of the IELTS exam. You can therefore choose the lessons to attend according to which part(s) of the exam you want to focus on.
For example, our writing task 1 and writing task 2 lessons focus on the following:
Describing line graphs, bar charts, pie charts, tables, maps, diagrams and processes.
Writing introductions, overviews and body paragraphs.
Different types of essay question: opinion essays; advantage/disadvantage essays; agree/disagree essays; discussion essays.
